Triveni Sangam, Maha Kumbh 2025 - in the sacred embrace of Ma Ganga.

Namaste. I'm Chaitali.

I have been practicing every day for a long time. Nearly everything I can offer comes out of that and nothing else.

I teach yoga and guide meditation, and I trained as an Integral Vedic Counselor. I teach in Boone, North Carolina, at the Art of Living retreat center and Shankara Ayurveda spa, and I sit privately with women here and online.

My own practice is Patañjali's kriyā yoga — three things, set down thousands of years ago and available to anyone willing to do them. Tapas, the discipline: staying still when everything in you wants to move. Svādhyāya, self-study: looking honestly at what rises in you rather than assigning it elsewhere. Īśvarapraṇidhāna, surrender: releasing your grip on how it turns out.

I do this in the morning and have for years. It is the whole of my method and there is nothing hidden in it.

I am not anyone's guru and I hold no one's lineage. Rshika is not a title I wear — it is the name of women who came long before me, who were still enough to hear what was already being spoken, and whose direction I have pointed my life in.

I am a little further along one road, not standing at the end of it.
