Rshika means a "female seer"; the name reaches past centuries of restriction to a time when women were not just permitted, but celebrated as direct receivers and transmitters of sacred knowledge. Rshika is the feminine form of Rsi — specifically denoting one to whom a mantra has been revealed, someone who is able to see beyond the ordinary world, through the practice of intense tapas (spiritual discipline). Tapas purifies the mind, and in a pure mind, knowledge in the form of mantras arises — different from knowledge acquired through books and learning, in other words: intuitive wisdom.
Women have deep intuition and sometimes need a space or container to deeply listen to the truth that is in the heart.
